Mikey Dee Benefit Show

Mikey Dee was a mainstay on the Boston music scene for many years; sadly, he passed in 2003 after complications from a brain stem stroke.
In early May 2000, many bands in Boston dedicated their time for a series of shows to help with medical expenses. I remember the day of this show very well, as I saw Buffalo Tom and Letters to Cleo over at Axis, then hurried myself over to TT The Bear's to see The Gravel Pit and The Sheila Divine. I think I missed most of the Gravel Pit, unfortunately, but I'm so glad I was able to make it in time for TSD. What a show.
The Sheila Divine was one of Mikey's favorites. With a performance like the one in the archive below, it's easy to understand why.
This is a simply electric performance of a band triumphantly finding its stride, and the recording sounds fantastic.
Turn this one up. Loud. Show notes:
1. A ffew seconds are missing in the intro, but it doesn't effect any music.
2. I missed a split in track 6, so 'Walking Dead' and 'I'm a Believer' are joined.
3. This is the best available recording of the very rarely performed "Wood Street"..
4. Did I mention turn this one up?
